Ovation collectors series manual

There are no scratches or marks and no signs of any wear. This guitar was endorsed by Nancy Wilson of Heart. Most importantly. It has a thin body and a thin V neck. For a 25 year old guitar that has been played. It is in very good condition. There is a hairline crack on the top of the body, and I checked the inside of the guitar and the crack does not seem to be in the wood only on the finish. There are a couple of dings on the bottom of the headstock from the guitar hanging on the wall.

There are also a few small dents on the back of the neck but nothing that affects the playability. This is one of the best sounding Ovations I have ever played, plugged in or unplugged. The overall condition of this guitar is in very good, the top is not cracked and the guitar plays and sound excellent but there are some issues that need to be repaired to restore it to original condition. Please see the photo of the bridge pickup, the problem is that the wires have been separated. It appears that an attempt was made to repair the connections but the red and yellow wire coming out of the pickup are so VERY thin and now too short to make a new connection.

I believe it can be sent back to the factory for repair or replacement but not positve. All other electronics are The rosette around the sound hole had come off and appeared to have fell and broke one of the abalone inlays see photo I have not glue the rosette back in place in case the new owner wants to have the inlay fixed. The rosette is just temporally taped loose into place for the photos and will come this way to the new owner.

This seems to be a common problem with this model These are the only issues I see. The top does has some light pick scratches and a couple of marks in the lamination but again, it is not cracked.

The guitar comes with the original Certificate of Authenticity signed by William Karman II and a receipt from the music store where it was purchased in Oklahoma however, since the date on the receipt is from , I doubt this is the original receipt. Also included is the original Ovation hard sell case that is in very good condition for its age. There are not too many of these left and with some minor repairs, this guitar can be restored to excellent condition or it can be play as is.

It has the desirable OP preamp which works great. The guitar is in excellent condition. There are a few minute scratches towards the tail which I have tried to show in the pictures. They are minor and only viewable when you look very closely. It comes with a TKL hard shell case which is also in excellent condition with only a couple of minor scuffs.

The retaining strap has given way so the case lays flat when open. I actually prefer this myself as the top is not going to fall down on the guitar. The case is a good fit but it is not specifically for the ovation style bowl. I find a couple of small towels to make it snug. Shows some signs of use and aging with some mojo wear. Has a few dings, scratches and chips. Tuners were changed out and it is missing the truss rod cover. Truss rod has been tested and works great. Case is still totally functional, but has a few cracks, chips and repairs to the outside.
