Verifying licenses

There are three Nursys services publicly available via nursys. The system provides licensure and publicly available discipline data directly to you as the information is entered into the Nursys database by participating boards of nursing. Once enrolled, a nurse will get automatic notifications about license status, license expiration, license renewal or publicly available disciplinary actions or alerts.

The Nurse License Verification service enables nurses to verify their license s from a Nursys verification participating board when applying for endorsement into another state. Sign In. Once approved, the license will be considered 'issued' even though the paper license is not immediately available.

Each entry includes the name of the respondent; the respondent's license number if any ; the respondent's last known business address with the board; the sanction imposed; a brief description of the basis for the disciplinary or corrective measure; and the effective date.
